Hamilton (Tony) Robinson was educated at Princeton and Harvard Law School. He began his career as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, in New York and Paris. He turned to investment banking, initially with the Schroder Group in London and New York and later with two other firms. In 1977 he became a private equity investment manager, in due course establishing the firm which bears his name.
Tony has served as chair or as a member of numerous management boards, public and private, for-profit and non-profit. He is a Life Trustee of The Morgan Library and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of College of the Atlantic. He is married to Roxana Robinson.
