From Manuscript to Marketplace panel discussions will take place via Zoom and include time for a Q&A. All writers are encouraged to attend, especially new authors looking to learn more about the business of writing and publishing.

Panelists:

Jasmine Guillory is a lawyer, a graduate of Wellesley College and Stanford Law School, and a Bay Area native who lives in Oakland, California. Cindy Hwang is Vice President, Editorial Director at Berkley. She joined Berkley in 1994 and has acquired and worked with a roster of bestselling authors including Jayne Ann Krentz, Helen Hoang, Laurell K. Hamilton, Nalini Singh, Sylvia Day, Christine Feehan, and Jasmine Guillory. 

Holly Root founded Root Literary in 2017, after beginning her agency career in 2004. The bicoastal agency takes a career-focused approach to literary representation, working closely with clients to build a body of work that endures. Holly’s client list includes authors of commercial and upmarket fiction for adults, teens, and kids, as well as select nonfiction. 


About Party of Two 

Party of Two is Jasmine Guillory’s fifth book and it follows Olivia Monroe (Alexa’s sister fromThe Wedding Date) as she creates a new life for herself in Los Angeles and manages to fall for the “most eligible senator” Max Powell.
