Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? Writing is important to me because it is a way to express my thoughts in a creative form to the world. It is a method of transmitting emotions, situations, and concepts in a timeless fashion to generations beyond one’s everyday reach.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? Put on some music, focus on the task ahead, and as my father said “jump”.

What is your favorite time to write? My favorite time to write is in the evening after I have had some time to experience my day. Many of my experiences find their way into my writings.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Don’t give up. It sounds cliché, but you have a vision. Because it is your vision other’s might not see it. Remember, writing is an art and your words are the colors that compose the composition. Your vision will be your guide to “your” masterpiece.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? There are so many ways to reach people. Back in the day there was no internet. Now, we are heading towards Web3, opening up so many new ways to release projects.

Patrick Eugene Barber II’s Vampiric Darkness is out now as a Kindlevella.
