Why is writing important to you and why do you think it's an important medium for the world? It has helped me find my heart, to discover what it can mean to be human, to grow. Humans need to grow. Or else they die.
What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer's block? Feel my emotions and follow them: this leads me to the story I must tell.
What is your favorite time to write? In the afternoon, when I am tired. The critical voice in me is tired then, too. And I can write.
What's the best piece of writing advice you've ever received and would like to impart to other writers? It may be only the memory of a song, or a slant of light: if it makes you feel deeply, the story is in there. It will be in tatters and drifting about. Find it. Don’t let it go.
What excites you most about being a writer in today's age? I am no longer alone. I am connected to readers, other writers, stories, so quickly and easily. Feeling connected is magical.
