Member Spotlight: David A. Adler

Why is writing important to you and why do you think it’s an important medium for the world? Stories are like snowflakes. Each is different. Writing is a great opportunity for us to express ourselves.

What are your tried and tested remedies to cure writer’s block? There’s a sign in my office, “Don’t Think. Just Write!” I should post this sign beside it, “Then Rewrite!”

What is your favorite time to write? Writing is my job. I try to write daily between 9 and 5.

What’s the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received and would like to impart to other writers? Don’t think. Just write.

What excites you most about being a writer in today’s age? Still writing for young readers keeps me young or at the very least it keeps me feeling young.
