James McGrath Morris Wins Benjamin L. Hooks Institute’s National Book Award

James McGrath Morris’s Eye on the Struggle: Ethel Payne, the First Lady of the Black Press has been selected by the Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change as the winner of its National Book Award for 2015. The award recognizes “publications that best advance an understanding of the American civil rights movement and its legacy.”
