Who:  Current and prospective members of the Authors Guild strongly encouraged to attend as well as local writers currently pursuing or interested in pursuing publishing opportunities.  Local writers and Authors Guild ambassadors Brandy Rae Ramirez and Shay Vasudeva co-lead the chapter.

Brandy Ramirez is a professional writer, editor, educator, and author. She has 10+ years of business writing and media experience, 20+ years of creative writing and communications experience, and close to a decade of teaching experience at the university level. As an indigenous Latina author, Brandy loves the stories that power the southwest and her culture, particularly magic realism. When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with her large, loud, and beautiful family, or simply observing humanity for the next story idea.

Shay Vasudeva, MA (Psychology), MS (Kinesiology, Pending), NFPT-CPT, NASM-CPT-CES, THSA-CNT, and Black Belt Karate instructor is an author, teaching professional, speaker, coach, and cat lover! Her passion is to help people become the best version of themselves by using an interdisciplinary and holistic approach through her company, ShaytheCoach.
