On January 24, 2020, the UK announced that it will not implement the new EU Copyright Directive; on January 27, 2020,  House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis Chair Kathy Castor sent a letter to the CEO of Google urging him to combat the dissemination of “dangerous climate misinformation” on YouTube; on January 28, U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky asked her staff to study possible changes to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, saying “Publishers don’t have that kind of immunity and I think we need to narrow it”; on February 5, 2020, the U.S. Copyright Office will host its event “Copyright in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”.
