Adina Talve-Goodman Fellowship
Eligibility: Early-career writer of fiction who has not yet published a book and is not currently nor has ever been enrolled in an MFA program
Prize: $2,000, manuscript review, free tuition for all One Story online classes & programming
Deadline: November 1, 2019

Patrick Henry Writing Fellowship
Eligibility: Writers with book-length project currently in progress, addressing the history and/or legacy of the American Revolution and the nation’s founding ideas
Prize: $45,000 stipend, health benefits, faculty privileges, a book allowance, and a nine-month residency
Deadline: November 15, 2019

Writing Retreats & Other Opportunities

New York Times Student Journalism Institute
Eligibility: Student members of the NABJ, NAHJ, AAJA, NAJA, or students at an HBCU
Prize: Opportunity to attend the Institute, held from May 16 to May 31, 2020, costs covered.
Deadline: November 15, 2019
